One move gives checkmate:

  1. Nxf2# (e4 to f2). After this move, the black knight on f2 gives check to the white king on h1, and White has no legal move: checkmate. The white king on h1 has no safe square to go to (g1, g2 and h2). g1 is covered by the black rook on g5. g2 is covered by the black rook on g5. h2 is covered by the black queen on e5. No white piece can capture the black knight on f2. A knight's check cannot be blocked.

Our code tried every legal move of Black in this position: this is the only move that gives checkmate.
